PETG is a wonderful “Goldilocks” filament. It combines the easy printability of PLA with the superior mechanical and heat-resistant properties of ABS. For that reason, we chose to offer PETG as our first product line.
California Filament’s PETG works well at print temperatures within the range of 220-250. We print our samples at a print temperature of 240 with a bed temperature of 85. For larger prints or prints with a complicated first layer, we recommend increasing the print bed temperature. We have done larger prints with a print bed of 115. Increasing the bed temperature creates stronger adhesion to the print bed. A brim may also be appropriate for these prints.
