I love this white filament! It is slightly translucent. Great for a base color for marble or alabaster. The photos show the difference between OFF WHITE and CLOUDY WHITE. Both great filaments.

Great filament - smooth lines and perfect candidate for projects that require even light diffusion.

I have been super happy with the Cloudy White! I’ve gone through over three kilos of it in about 2mo. My Bambu A1 loves it, too. They get along just fine at 124% speed, and even 166% depending on the print with no notable drop in quality — very impressive for PETG that isn’t advertised as high flow. It works well for many applications, both aesthetically & functionally — feels pretty strong and looks absolutely lovely, very “milky”, diffuses light super evenly, and has a nice glossy finish that doesn’t feel cheap at all. The price is totally fair at $18-20/kg, and I will continue to buy it as long as it’s available while I’m printing. I haven’t found anything else like it and it’s just so good! (I wish I had better photos, but these should give you some idea of how it looks!)

I originally intended to use this filament to print IR LED diffusers since it was the only genuinely translucent white filament I could find. I found that the filament not only worked as a fantastic diffuser for the LEDs, it also looks fantastic, and printed far better than expected. Im going to be using it for other applications as well. Would absolutely buy again

Printed well and was the perfect amount of transparent for these light diffusers!

Over the past few years, I have been using California Filament. Initially, I sought a more stable alternative to PLA. PETG appealed to me due to its superior wear resistance and lower heat sensitivity. However, after reading reviews of individuals encountering challenges with PETG printing in general, I was somewhat apprehensive. Nevertheless, after experimenting with California Filament and achieving satisfactory prints, I have exclusively used it.

Very crisp and bright white prints! I love the look of it and how well it flows through my printer. No issues!

This smokey white PETG is the only product I could find that would fit my needs. I could hope for a semi transparent white ABS filament if that were possible. I used the filament to make a back lit ignition switch panel. The product is 100% in filled and still allows light to shine through. The product is also strong enough to be installed and in service. I would recommend this product to anyone who is considering a similar application. I plan to use this product for future switch panels.

Rare PETG I was specifically looking for! It is white, slightly transparent plastic. That helps to hide the layer lines and gives cloudy appearance. This plastic is also ideal for engineering projects, since less than usual amount of the white pigment make this plastic print better and have greater layers adhesion. Highly recommend! Ideal balance of the color and fogginess. Also great price too!

PETG from California Filament printed perfectly in all my tests on my new AnyCubic Kobra S1 Combo! Once I figured out the supports I was able to print the best sphere I have ever done. So happy with the material that I ordered another roll and will come back for more. Good to deal with a company that focuses on one filament!

Worked nicely for several different projects, and was even great for a lithophane, which I've previously only done with PLA. This was my first order from California Filament but it won't be my last.

Good price and amazing quality to print my incubator trays. These need to be heat resilient and none have ever warped after 2 years of use.

Perfect for my application. I do production runs, 3 printers 20 hrs/day each. I am able to print at 300-400 mm/sec with no problems with this material (pastels print at the same speeds). perfect bed adhesion, strong layers, no failures. Note that this is with a lot of tuning and testing, YMMV.

Color of the white was really nice but the printed parts were not coming out consistent, they were brittle, and some parts had holes in them. The printer had small pieces and threads spread all over the bed and surrounding area. I finally went back to my Overture brand filament and had no problems.

Best filament I've found for light diffusion. Perfect balance of diffusion and transmission.

This filament works great! Looks nice and with some retraction setting changes doesn't string much.

Recently the petg rolls have been tangled from the factory and I spend a lot of time unspooling and respooling during a print

I was worried it would be slightly opaque white but this stuff it super nice and solid and prints without issue.

Printed at 1.5mm thickness for a project I’m working on. Filament is a nice white color with no backlighting, but wonderfully translucent with lighting. Printed perfectly at 255c nozzle temp and 80c bed temp on my X1C. Didn’t string or droop and handled a 25 overhang perfectly. Super happy with this filament and will be definitely buying more.

Top print is "The other brand", bottom is California Filament Cloudy White.

I'm back! Made the mistake of trying a different brand, not as strong, smooth or easy to work with. Your filament rocks, every color I've tried has been great! Keep it up.

Can’t beat the price point on this stuff! Prints great!

Cloudy White is my go to for anything that I just need to make and know it will work. I always keep some around for those random jobs. Just enough color to hide any layer lines or imperfections from the printer.
David W. 5/5 Verified
Prints very well for my balisongs. The only issue I've had is that I have to be careful on small parts or it will overheat and get brittle, but that's on me.
Tristan 5/5
So the filament itself seems decent enough, but this is DEFINITELY not as translucent as it was supposed to be. You would have to print something with very little infill, very thin walls/layers, or probably just vase mode. I thought this was the answer to my need for a more cloudy transparent/clear, but this wont work. So if that is what you are looking for, unfortunately you'll want to try something else.

I need a "riser" for my driveway light after installing a huge, over-sized LED bulb. Cloudy White is the stuff. Prints nice and clean.
